My M-Audio device isn't being recognized anymore, but a week ago I was able to record with it as a midi device.
I haven't touched the drivers since, I haven't even rebooted my computer since. I have absolutely no idea why it isn't working anymore. The device says that it's not supported on the OS version that I'm using, so fair enough, but what I don't understand is why it all of a sudden stopped after using it the other day.
Has anyone else had any luck with this device using El Capitan? A quick bit of google-fu turns up a file called /Preferences/com.avid.usb.fasttrackpro.firmwareupdater.plist which may be the source of the problem.
First thing I would do is completely remove ALL files associated with the fast track pro and re install the files. If this doesn't work you could go back to OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) and then perform the upgrade again.BUT either way looks like a temporary solution. (unless you stick with Yosemite) because there is a realistic chance that the built in updater that speaks to AVID is the culprit. Anyway here is someone with a similar problem And all the drivers you might need.
Where are the drivers for m-audio fast track usb. Only a couple months ago I could google search m-audio fast track usb win 7 drivers and it was like the first or second link straight the driver page on m-audios site. Now nothing.I looked it support for drivers and device isnt even listed. The drivers were on this site and now there gone. I need those drivers for Pro Tools M-Powered to work. I just want a link to download those drivers that use to be on this site. I dont even know why M-audio removed them. Hello Bill, Thanks for posting.
